Tell me about yourself. What inspired you to write?
I started writing at a young age, I was an avid reader of comic books and novels when I was a child and wrote an adaptation of the pilot to The Transformers TV Show on my dad’s TSR 80 laptop.
Describe your desk / writing space.
It’s a toss up between a table at the local café or a desk that I should use but found writing in a comfortable chair in the living room to be best.
Do you have a writing routine or do you write when inspired?
My writing routine is trying to write when I have free time this means before or after work or for a few hours a day on my days off. I’m the type of writer that enjoys writing while listening to soundtrack music from movies.

R. K. Bentley was raised in New England on a steady diet of 80’s Cartoons, Tom Baker Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Star Trek, Star Wars, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, comics books & movies. He is member and Social Media Director for the Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA). Where Weavers Daire is his first novel, when not writing he enjoys photography, traveling and reading books.
How do you come up with the title to your books?
Where Weavers Daire was a spoof on Where Eagles Dare. WWD is part of series that will play off of the Who, What, When, Where, Why word play.
What was the hardest scene for you to write? Which scene was your favorite to write?
Hardest scene to write was the villain showing up without making it seem like they’re chewing scenery. The easiest is overwriting dialogue between characters.
What inspired your book/series?
I started writing fanfiction set in the Robotech universe and after getting some advice about scraping off the serial numbers and creating my own universe. I started writing again during NaNoWrimo and after writing several half-finished novels I decided to do an Avengers Assemble type of series to lead into the Wrimo novels. I get my inspiration from Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, The X-Files, Buffy, Firefly, The Expanse, Babylon 5.

The sequel to Weaver, When Riders Crosleigh.

James S.A. Corey, Cherie Priest, John Scalzi, Tanya Huff, Dean Koontz, Alex White.
If you could live anywhere, in this world or fantasy, where would you live?
Wolfeboro, NH in the summers and Seattle, WA for the rest of the year.

Tacos
